The dead do not rest here - instead, their spirits writhe in anguish, bound to the ruinous tombs and crypt-choked catacombs that stretch endlessly beneath the cracked earth. What was once a burial ground for forgotten empires has become a crucible of divine conflict, where the screams of the damned echo through fractured vaults and bone-littered avenues. The six gods covet the souls interred here, for within each one lies a spark of forgotten divinity - a spark that can tip the balance of power. To claim them, the gods summon champions: mortal instruments of their will, drawn from across Athien and eras, brought forth by relics carved in their honour. These relics - ancient effigies, wrought in stone and bone and shadow - dot the necropolis like malignant tumours, each one a conduit for divine influence. Each conquest brings a shift. Every effigy reclaimed, every soul reaped, every tomb defiled tilts the scale of the divine war. This is more than territorial gain - it is a game of ascension, where one god’s rise means another’s fall. And so, this Necropolis remains in a state of perpetual unrest, haunted not only by the dead, but by the ambition of the gods.
