This immersible pro-series needle probe for the chef alarm has a sealed assembly against moisture so the probe will work in a water bath or simmering pot. (Note: The cable can get wet, but should not be submerged in liquids.) This probe is also suitable for meats, including thick and very thin portions. The probe cable survives oven temperatures and careful use on a grill or sauté pan. The flexible silicone insulated cable can be used up to 500°F short term.
