On their latest deep dance into dance music's overlooked past, Italian imprint Groovin' Records has offered up a fresh pressing of London-based fusionists Negrocan's 1999 single 'C ada Vez', a Nuyorican Soul-era Latin house bomb that whose club success was largely down to an inspired remix by the great Grant Nelson. His version naturally sits on side A here, delivering a killer blend of Masters At Work style beats, layered Latin percussion, delay-laden horn motifs, warming chords, soulful Spanish vocals and chunky bass. This time round, it comes accompanied by the lesser-known Avant Garde remix - an even more percussive and bouncy affair propelled forwards by a heavy synth bassline, relentless ride cymbals and infectious horn blasts.
