In creating the Neptune Mission model, Ugears designers and engineers were inspired by real events on the night of April 13-14, 2022 when the armed forces of Ukraine sank the flagship of the russian Black Sea Fleet, the cruiser moskva, with two Neptune anti-ship missiles. The cruiser moskva was the same ship that at the beginning of the war tried to capture the Ukrainian island Zmiinyi, or "Snake Island." When the russians ordered the Ukrainian military to lay down their arms and surrender, the brave defenders told them where to go. The phrase "russian warship go f*ck yourself" has become a catchphrase of this war, and the event was even memorialized on a Ukrainian postage stamp.
