Solid Surface Leak Detection for Aquarium Protection The LD-2 probe is intended for open hard surfaces where water may appear during a leak, overflow, loose fitting, sump issue, or equipment failure. It can be placed inside or outside an aquarium stand to help detect water early and trigger Apex alerts or configured safety actions. Place the probe where water is likely to appear early during a leak, such as below plumbing unions, under sump edges, near external pumps, or on the floor inside and outside the stand. For carpeted areas, use the LD-1 under-carpet probe instead. Setup Directions Plug the probe into an available FMM port, place it flat on the surface being monitored, and configure the FMM port as a leak detection input in Apex Fusion. Test the probe with a small controlled amount of water, confirm the Apex alert or action works correctly, then dry the probe completely before regular use.
