Neptune Leak Detection Kit (LDK) The Neptune Leak Detection Kit (LDK) is an Apex leak detection package for monitoring water leaks around aquariums, sumps, stands, reservoirs, RODI systems, and nearby equipment areas. Apex Leak Detection for Aquarium Protection Small leaks can become expensive problems quickly, especially around reef tanks, sumps, ATO reservoirs, RODI systems, and aquarium stands. The Neptune Leak Detection Kit adds contact-based leak sensing to a compatible Apex system so the aquarium can alert the owner and trigger configured Apex actions when water is detected where it should not be. Neptune LDK Features Detects leaks on contact using included surface leak detection probes Can send alerts through Apex Fusion when connected to a compatible Apex system Includes FMM Fluid Monitoring Module and two LD-2 solid-surface leak detection probes FMM has four accessory ports for monitoring up to four leak locations with additional probes Remaining FMM ports can also be used with compatible FMM sensors or accessories Built-in audible alarm capability through the FMM module Useful under stands, near sumps, beside ATO reservoirs, around RODI systems, and near external plumbing or equipment Easy installation with no advanced programming required for basic leak monitoring Leak Detection Kit Specifications Product type: Apex leak detection kit Module included: FMM Fluid Monitoring Module Included probes: Two LD-2 solid-surface leak detection probes FMM accessory ports: 4 total ports Monitoring capacity: Up to four leak detection probes with additional compatible probes Compatibility: Compatible Apex system required Applications: Aquarium stands, sumps, floors, reservoirs, RODI areas, plumbing points, and equipment zones Common Leak Sensor Placement Place probes where water is most likely to appear first. Common locations include the floor of the aquarium stand, beside the sump, near bulkheads or unions, around external pumps, next to ATO reservoirs, near RODI storage containers, and close to any plumbing connection that could drip or loosen over time. Installation Directions Connect the FMM module to the Apex system, plug the leak detection probes into the FMM ports, and place the probes in the selected leak-risk areas. Configure leak detection in Apex Fusion and test each probe with a small controlled amount of water before relying on the system. Keep probes accessible for cleaning and inspection, and avoid placing them where normal splashing or maintenance drips will cause unnecessary alarms.
