Nerite snails, Neritina, are a marine and brackish water snail but can be kept in freshwater aquariums with a pH range of 6.5–8.5 to keep their shells healthy and strong. They will cruise along the glass of your tank with their rasping teeth eating algae. They prefer temperatures from 65–85°F (18–29°C) and a tank size of 3 gallons or larger.
