The process is intentionally slow and made in small batches. Each piece begins as hand cut glass, individually shaped and prepared before being water gilded using fine gold and sil ver leaf. Designs/ motifs/ talisman are then hand etched into the gilded surface using a reverse glass technique inspired by verre églomisé. Every talisman created from glass and gold leaf is then backed and sealed. Once sealed each one then has its own hand crafted silver setting made that speaks to the subject or design of the piece.
