Nested Tarot Tiles hand crafted 78 piece mini version of the hand-carved and stamped deck based off of the Nesting Doll shape. MADE TO ORDER allow 1-2 weeks for creation before you
will receive a shipping notification. Back in October 2022 I rekindled my love for the art of Linoleum block printing. Having carved my way through Sawyer’s Lenormand (See our Linocut Lenormand deck) I didn’t want to stop playing with this meditative process. The alternate signifiers in the Linocut Lenormand were based of of the nesting doll shape, and just so much fun to create. I started thinking about how I might draw the Fool in that form— how to keep the popular symbols of the RWS universe intact. A Fool was born. Then a Magician, a High Priestess... And so on and so forth. I couldn’t stop carving my way through this deck and now that they are completed—we have them available in Tile Form. *I wrote a long blog post about my decision to postpone the release date of the actual decks. However, after a lot more thought and talking to some of my peers in the tarot community, I’ve decided it will not be shelved forever. I also realize that this deck was created from a place of love and appreciation for the way I translate my art onto a popular form. That is it, nothing more. The shapes could have just as easily been jars or bowling pins. Each image was hand-carved, stamped, then scanned to our computer in order to bring you the images you see here. Tiles measures approximately 1.25”x 2”, (3.18cm x 5.10cm) the tiles are cut from Baltic birch and burnt for a unique weathered effect. The images are printed on high quality vinyl then resin sealed for a completely durable and unique look. 78 laser engraved and cut tiles featuring a scaled down version of the actual card backs. The tiles come in shipped in a puzzle style box featuring artwork from my original line drawings. There is NO guidebook with these tiles, the card images are based off of the Rider Waite Smith tarot universe, keeping the symbolism intact, if you are familiar with that system, you will be able to use these tiles. They are fun, playful and even a little sassy.
