The Neumann U89 studio microphone presents improved acoustical and electrical characteristics and better high-end response when compared to the U 87A. It has a dynamic range of 123 dB, five polar patterns, a 6dB pad, and a 2 position LF roll-off switch. The U 89 has little or no off-axis colouration. Famous for broadcast use, the U 89 is recommended as a general orchestral microphone and for narration and vocals. All high impedance components are protected against contamination, making it highly reliable and stable over long periods of operation. Available in Nickel or Black.
