The Never Summer Mens Proto T3 Eclipse is packed with all the latest Never Summer technology and was built for both freeride and freestyle performance. Its Recurve Triple Camber Profile, combined with a 32mm setback and extended nose rocker, enhances Early-Rise and Float Mechanics for effortless control in all conditions. The Precision Stitched Carbon Matrix, showcased through the T3 Directional Carbon Mapping Embossment, maximises energy transfer and response and R.I.P. Edge-Hold Technology, 10mm of taper, and a carefully tuned flex pattern provide superior stability and lightning-fast edge-to-edge transitions. Board Type: All Mountain-Freeride All Mountain snowboards are versatile boards that excel across various terrains, from groomed runs to off-piste. These boards offer solid edge control and responsiveness, making them a great option for riders who want one board to do just about everything. Freeride snowboards are built for steeper, off-piste terrain. These boards are ideal for aggressive riding and usually for more advanced riders. Flex: 6/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff) Offering a balanced blend of flexibility and stiffness, mid-flex boards are versatile and suitable for all-mountain riding. They provide enough responsiveness for carving while maintaining some forgiveness for playful or casual riding. Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced Intermediate snowboards offer more responsiveness and stability at higher speeds, with a slightly stiffer flex for better control on varied terrain and more advanced manoeuvres. Advanced snowboards are stiffer and more responsive, designed for high-speed control, precision riding, and handling challenging terrain or tricks. Shape: Tapered Directional A tapered directional snowboard features a shape where the tail is narrower than the nose, providing enhanced control and stability in deeper snow. This design improves floatation in powder and allows for smoother turns, making it ideal for freeride and backcountry riding. While it excels in one direction, the taper helps the board naturally guide you through challenging conditions. Camber Type: Triple Camber Recurve with R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology Triple Camber Recurve blends Triple Camber with a traditional camber arch, this profile creates an overall cambered shape which is incredibly dynamic and powerful and excels across all mountain terrain, performing exceptionally in various snow conditions. R.I.P. Edge Hold Technology offers unmatched versatility, providing effortless glide in powder and response all over the mountain while delivering precision for deep carves. It boosts edge performance for maximum stability and control in any condition, with easy edge tunes. Unlike traditional serrated edges, R.I.P. integrates waves into the base, creating high-pressure points for smooth, drag-free rides and consistent pressure on edge, ensuring a balanced, confident ride. Width: Standard, Wide, Drag Free Standard width boards deliver exceptional edge-to-edge quickness and responsiveness while providing enough platform space for riders with average boot sizes. Wide boards are for those with large boot sizes and provide extra flotation, reduced drag, and never feel clunky or cumbersome underfoot. Drag free boards are made for those with the biggest size boot, typically US 14+, they provide enough width to minimise heel and toe drag. Sidecut: Power Grip Sidecut The Power Grip Sidecut features a combination of multiple radii to create additional contact points along the edge, improving edge grip. A flat section in the middle area forms a wide contact point when the board is flexed, while allowing it to remain stable and avoid catching when unbent. Two shallow radii on either side of the flat section add extra contact points, while deeper radii near the tips of the board enable quick turn initiation and provide the final contact points. Inserts: 2x4 Inserts These offer a tighter hole pattern, allowing for more precise stance adjustments. They're common on modern boards and ideal for riders who want fine-tuned positioning and can be used with any binding with a standard or mini disk. Board Construction Topsheet: Co-Extruded Polymer Topsheet with T3 Directional Carbon Mapping Embossment The Co-Extruded Polymer Topsheet is made from a tough, lightweight thermoplastic with a fiber backing, offering resistance to scratches and chips. These topsheets stand out for their vivid colors and enhanced grip, serving as a built-in stomp pad for added control while unstrapped. This topsheet is embossed with the pattern of the carbon mapped on the core of the snowboard. Directional Carbon Mapping Embossment has the carbon pattern on the nose and tail of the topsheet while also having a directional pattern in between the inserts. Laminate: Bi-Lite Fiberglass, Precision Stitched Carbon Matrix, STS Pre-Tensioned Fiberglass Bi-Lite Fiberglass is a lightweight glass fiber matrix, offering outstanding freestyle and freeride performance without compromising durability. Precision Stitched Carbon Matrix is a specific layup of carbon fiber within the core of the board that is precisely stitched and integrated into the snowboard's construction. STS Pre-Tensioned Fiberglass is a strong, layered material designed for durability and performance. It features elastomer stringers placed between the glass fibers to improve strength and edge hold. This advanced bonding technique makes our snowboards more durable and responsive. Similar fiberglass is also used in bows because of its ability to flex and snap back with great force, launching arrows at high speeds without breaking. Core: PowerSurf Wood Core, Triple Layer RDS 1 Damping with Underfoot Stabiliser The PowerSurf Wood Core blends a high proportion of lightweight Paulownia with Poplar and Birch through the center of the core, while Poplar lines the sidecut edges. This combination enhances strength and provides the ideal level of torsional rigidity, ensuring a durable yet lightweight ride. RDS 1 features the most extensive laminated damping layers in the lineup. By incorporating a significant amount of elastomeric rubber along the effective edge, it delivers exceptional vibration absorption and enhances edge grip ensuring outstanding stability at high speeds. Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilisers are positioned beneath the mounting area to maximise shock and vibration absorption, enhancing stability at high speeds and extra cushioning to minimise foot fatigue for a more comfortable ride. Sidewall: UHMW Sidewalls The use of UHMW Sidewalls (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is essential in preserving the life of your snowboard. Unlike ABS sidewalls, UHMW are more resistant to cracking in colder temperatures. They also improve damping performance around the metal edges, providing a smoother ride. Edge: Fullwrap Metal Edge Base: Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base The Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base is an exclusive, high performance sintered base and is infused with the ideal amount of graphite, making it one of the fastest and most durable P-Tex bases available on the market. Additional Features: Extended Transition Area Early-Rise Float Mechanics P-Tex Nose/Tail Protection
