The abalone shell, also known as “paua” in New Zealand and “awabi” in Japanese culture, carries deep symbolic meaning. Revered by indigenous communities, the abalone shell is often considered a sacred vessel representing the water element. Its iridescent hues mirror the ebb and flow of the tides, symbolizing the interconnectedness of life’s cycles. In various traditions, the abalone shell is associated with attributes such as intuition, emotional balance, and the soothing energy of the ocean. As a protective shell, it is thought to shield against negative energies, making it a popular choice for amulets and talismans. These Neacklace and Earring sets are Made in Canada from Abalone shells.
