The base spirit is grain-derived and put through five successive distillations before passing through three rounds of filtration, a process designed to strip out congeners and deliver a clean, neutral canvas for flavoring. The Passion Fruit expression applies that same base process, then layers in tropical fruit flavoring, resulting in a spirit that sits at 35% ABV rather than the standard 40% of the original unflavored vodka.Tasting NotesAroma: Ripe passionfruit leads immediately, followed by a wave of pineapple and a subtle citrus brightness. There is a faint floral quality underneath, reminiscent of tropical blossoms.Taste: The entry is sweet and distinctly passionfruit-forward, with juicy tropical fruit flavors expanding across the mid-palate. Pineapple and blood orange notes emerge as supporting players, keeping the sweetness from becoming one-dimensional. A zesty citrus thread ties the fruit notes together and adds liveliness.Finish: Medium in length with a mild peppery warmth that surfaces at the tail end. Lingering impressions of whole orange, dried mango, and tangy pineapple fade gradually, leaving a clean, slightly tart aftertaste. How to Drink Passion FruitAt 35% ABV, this is engineered for mixing rather than contemplative sipping, though it works fine chilled and poured neat as a light sipper. Over ice it loosens up nicely, letting the tropical aromatics bloom. Passion Fruit Mule: The ginger beer's spice contrasts the sweet tropical fruit, creating a balanced, effervescent drink. Tropical Cosmopolitan: Swap standard vodka for this expression and pair with cranberry and fresh lime; the passionfruit adds depth the classic recipe often lacks. Hurricane: The existing tropical profile means less syrup is needed, letting the natural fruit flavor carry the cocktail. In a crowded flavored vodka market, this expression earns attention through verified competition results rather than marketing noise alone.
