In the early days of the coffee trade, ships laden with coffee from Indonesia (Java) wo uld frequently take on more goods, including coffee, at the port of Mokha in Yemen. An accidental blend was born in the hulls of those ships that has stood the test of time. Our version pairs a classically rich and nutty estate-grown coffee from Java with a light, fruity and floral Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, which mimics the classic character of the Yemeni coffees that are in such short supply these days.
