The breadboard adapter allows you to plug the 10 pin female connector of the USBasp AVR programmer into the a dapter on one side, and the other side is broken out to the MISO, MOSI, SCK, Reset, VCC and GND pins for very easy connecting to the SPI pins of the microcontroller using the tie strips of the breadboard.
