Newstripe PackMaster Spark Resistant Air Powered Compactor The PackMaster™ Spark Resistant Air Powered Compactor is a pneumatic drum compactor with spark-resistant aluminum cladding applied to all operator and material contact surfaces. The unit compacts waste within 55-gallon drums for up to 80% disposal volume reduction, with an optional 17″ ram plate (sold separately) extending compatibility to 30-gallon drums. The compaction cycle completes in approximately 30 seconds at 100 psi supply pressure, actuated via a joystick mounted on the lift arm. A two-handed safety lever requires simultaneous engagement to operate the ram, keeping operator hands clear of the compaction zone throughout the cycle. The aluminum surface treatment reduces the risk of friction or impact sparking against ferrous materials during loading and compaction. This unit is spark resistant but is not certified explosion-proof and is not rated for use in classified hazardous locations. Compatibility is limited to non-hazardous compressible solids; the compactor must not be used with glass, brittle or shatter-prone materials, sealed containers, or any waste containing volatile vapors, flammable residues, or pressurized contents. A continuous 100 psi compressed air supply is required for rated cycle performance.
