NIGHTFRIGHT is a rules-lite / standalone / GM-less / map-making role-playing game where (1-6) players take on the role of a group of children at a sleepover who wake up during the middle of the night to discover all the windows and doors to the outdoors, familiar objects, and adults in the HOUSE have disappeared. It wants to CONSUME all children in darkness; for what purpose is unknown, but certainly for something sinister. Its form is obscured by the darkness enveloping it; it appears in many forms, but most often as a disembodied, almost featureless head floating in the fuzzy haze of night’s half-light. It spreads an unearthly chill as it moves, causing children's breath to mist. The line that defines the FIGURE and the HOUSE blurs; are they separate beings, extensions of one another, or are they one and the same?
