The model first released in 1996 and ironically became a popular choice for skaters in the ’90s due to their combination of durability and affordability. Eventually in 2015 supreme gave us their take on the model, propelling the GTS into modern fashion. Last summer Nike finally gave it a proper retro in a variety of color ways with a slightly elongated shape and reinforcement on the collar. This pair from the early GTS days pays homage to the 2000 Olympics and sports the original shape. They are composed of a white canvas upper, metal eyelets, and a tough rubber sole. The intricate embroidery sets these apart from other GTS pairs released in the time period. It features a USA patch on the tongue, a Nike 2000 Olympic American Flag on the heel, and a sharp midnight blue swoosh giving it a very clean, minimalistic look. The signature gum outsole completes this classic theme that is sure to break necks. Even though these are 22 years old, they are pristine and the quality of materials is top notch. This version is super rare especially in this condition.
