The FM2 is one of the most respected mechanical 35mm SLRs ever made — a fully manual, largely battery-independent body built to professional standards with a shutter that runs to 1 /4000 sec and syncs flash at 1/200. Released in 1982, it became a benchmark for reliability and precision, and it's still treated that way.
