Key Features Virtually unbreakable polypropylene (PP) — endures repeated impact without cracking or splintering 86cm mid-length blade — realistic reach, quicker handling than a full katana Ultra-light 380g — speed drills and long sessions without fatigue Textured non-slip grip for control through drills and forms Iconic curved silhouette with stylised ridge detailing, all-black finish Technical Specifications Total Length 86cm Weight 380g Material Polypropylene (PP) — virtually unbreakable Grip Textured polymer handle Blade Style Katana-style curved blade Colour All-black Ideal For Karate, kenjutsu and kendo practitioners Speed drills, flow routines and solo kata practice Martial arts dojos, home training and group classes Demonstrations and choreography FAQs Where does 86cm sit in the range?Between the 71cm Tanto (290g) and the 100cm Katana (555g). It's the middle blade — more reach than a tanto, faster in the hand than a full katana. If you want the traditional two-handed katana feel, go 100cm; if pure close-quarters speed, the 71cm Tanto. Is it really unbreakable?Polypropylene is a rigid, non-brittle polymer — under normal training use it won't crack, chip or splinter the way timber can. Virtually indestructible in the dojo, though not warranted against deliberate abuse. Why so light?380g is deliberate — the ninja-to profile favours speed and repetition. You can drill hundreds of cuts a session without wrist fatigue, which makes it a favourite for conditioning and flow work. Is it suitable for partner work? It's built for kata and controlled partner drills under qualified instruction. It's a rigid trainer that carries real impact, so it's not intended for contact sparring — use control and appropriate protective equipment. Delivery Ships Australia-wide from our Sydney warehouse.
