(Clematis) Clematis 'Niobe' is known for its velvety, ruby reddish-black flowers that mature to a deep wine red with age. The large 6 inch flowers are a stunning addition to the la ndscape and garden. Reblooming, it produces an abundance of blooms in late spring, blooming off of the previous season growth, followed by a rebloom again in early autumn. Standing 6-8 feet tall, 'Niobe' quite easily could be the most popular red shade clematis on the market today. 'Niobe' is an excellent variety for containers or cut flowers.
