Musiqa Oud by Nishane opens with a dry, slightly sharp mix of cypriol and grapefruit, but that freshness doesn’t last long. Almost immediately, something darker begins to push thro ugh, giving the scent an edge that feels a bit untamed. Amyris softens it slightly, but only just. As it develops, the oud comes forward in a much more animalic way. It’s earthy, slightly dirty, and textured, with saffron and amber adding warmth without smoothing it out. There’s a rawness here that feels intentional, like the fragrance is meant to feel alive rather than perfectly blended. In the base, sandalwood and guaiac wood bring a creamy contrast, but the animalic character never disappears. Oakmoss adds a green, slightly damp undertone, keeping the composition grounded and complex. It lingers with a distinctive, almost challenging presence. This is a rare, unconventional oud fragrance with a strong animalic edge, not for everyone, and definitely not trying to be.
