The NITTO MTC-013 Threadless Converter allows you to convert a bicycle with a 1-inch threaded steerer to accept a modern 1 1/8-inch threadless stem. A clever little component that solves a very specific problem. And NITTO makes it beautifully Convert a 1" Threaded Steerer to 1 1/8" Threadless The NITTO MTC-013 is designed for bikes fitted with a 1-inch threaded steerer, allowing them to use a 1 1/8-inch threadless stem This opens up a whole new world of cockpit options. Instead of being limited to traditional quill stems, you can explore modern threadless stems and handlebars to create the riding position and setup you want It's particularly useful for those more traditional style classis road bikes, touring bikes, mountain bikes, steel frames and custom builds where the original fork still uses a 1-inch threaded steerer A Solution for a Very Specific Problem Let's be honest — this isn't the kind of component everyone needs But for the rider who does need a 1" threaded to 1 1/8" threadless converter, finding a well-made solution can be surprisingly difficult That's where NITTO comes in Rather than compromising with a questionable workaround, this purpose-built converter gives you a neat way to bring a classic threaded-steerer bike into a more modern cockpit setup NITTO Quality NITTO has been making high-quality bicycle components in Japan for decades, with a reputation for precision manufacturing and beautifully considered designs The MTC-013 is another example of that approach: a relatively small component designed to solve a problem while keeping the installation clean and the overall bike looking right Ideal for Classic & Custom Bikes The NITTO MTC-013 Threadless Converter can be particularly useful when upgrading: Classic road bikes Vintage and steel bicycles Touring bikes Older mountain bikes Commuter bikes Custom bicycle builds Bikes with 1-inch threaded forks It's a great option when you want the flexibility of a modern 1 1/8-inch threadless stem without replacing a perfectly good 1-inch threaded fork Small component. Big possibilities. Classic fork. Modern cockpit Made in Japan Specifications:Material : Aluminum Steerer Diameter: 22.2mm
