The Nixer RL64 Dante is a compact, robust 1U rack device that functions as a 64-channel monitor and a powerful mixer. Users select between two primary modes: a mixing mode that allows blending up to 64 Dante channels (plus AES and mic inputs for a total of 67 channels into a stereo mix) with individual level and pan controls, or a simple listen mode where touching a channel on the screen instantly routes it to the main output. The front panel features a large, high-resolution LCD capacitive touch panel for easy navigation and detailed, high-resolution metering that supports EBU and SMPTE scale standards. Audio output options are flexible, offering built-in full-range speakers, a headphone jack (which mutes the speakers when used), stereo balanced line outputs, and AES output on XLR connectors.
