The NJP Table Lamp, launched with Louis Poulsen in 2015, is Tokyo studio nendo's tribute to the great architect lamps of the twentieth century, rethought for the LED era. Oki Sato kept everything that made the type loved — honest exposed springs, an articulated arm, a head that follows your hand — and added his signature twist at the top: a chimney-shaped shade that vents heat from the LED while reflecting a soft measure of light back down the arm, so the lamp gently glows over itself in the dark. On a desk the NJP earns its keep daily: the high, shielded LED gives a wide pool of light with no glare in your eyes, ideal for long evenings of work or study — with base, clamp or pin mounting to suit the surface.
