Lynn first showed with us in 2009 and her figures have been a fixture of the gallery since then. They are carved from driftwood and then painted with her humorous take on their character. The small details of their expressions, hair and clothing create a piece guaranteed to make you smile. They are great to put in pairs or groups in the gallery (or your home...) looking either askance or conspiratorially at one another. She works from her home in a village overlooking the North Cornish coast. She collects her raw materials, mainly driftwood from her local beaches. After time and much preparation with the help of machinery, hand tools and paint , it is transformed into wooden figures varying in many individual characters and situations.
