Keith Payne VC, AM was born in Ingham, Queensland, in 1933. He joined the Australian Army in 1951 and served in a variety of conflicts, including the Korean and Vietnam wars. He wa s awarded the Victoria Cross for gallantry under fire, in Vietnam in 1969. Keith and his wife raised five sons, and today they live in Mackay. Show more
