For his 2023 trip to the North Shore Luke shaped Noa a couple of (Hawaiian) shortboards (6’4’s). Noa loved them so much when he got back he asked Luke to shrink the variation back down to his usual shortboard length of 6’2. The result was according to Noa... "Easily the best shortboard I’ve ever ridden." Based off of Noa’s OG model, Luke changed up the bottom curve balance point by adding more nose, but less tail rocker. He also reduced the single concave, while deepening the double concave it blends into. These changes to the rocker and concave allows the board to fit in the powerful sections of the wave and still be free rail to rail. “You can’t have a board that goes good in everything but this model comes really close to that. The boards just mental.” Noa The tail has been refined to help things stay in the water and easier to dominate at higher speeds. The evolution from swallow to thumb tail has added a touch of forgiveness. Noa’s new model has been honed for powerful, solid and fast surfing.
