The Noble Wolf Carnelian Ring is a band in 925 sterling silver set with a carnelian and engraved with the head of a wolf. The stone is a warm orange red and the only warm color anywhere on the ring, so the worked metal beside it reads cooler than it would alone. The engraving is cut into the band itself rather than applied as a separate piece, and it is deep enough to separate the fur of the muzzle from the smoother plane of the brow.
