The illustrated Nocturnal Fox is formed after the Kitsune, a mythical Japanese fox. It is said that the Kitsune has the ability to grow more than one tail. This image is taken from a watercolour on paper painting by award-winning artist Daniel Mackie. The artist's work is heavily influenced by the Japanese print makers of the Ukiyo-e period, between 1670 and 1870. Daniel creates highly decorative designs that lift the spirit and warm the heart.
