This native ornamental onion produces delicate, nodding clusters of pink to white flowers in summer, a charming, deer-resistant perennial suited to rock gardens, dry borders, and n aturalistic plantings where its graceful flower habit can be appreciated up close. Flowers are commonly pink and sometimes white. Flowers mature into fruit opening to show glossy dark seeds. The edible bulb, with a strong flavour, produces grass-like leaves with the flowers.
