The Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum and Vitra are pleased to reintroduce Isamu Noguchi’s Prismatic Table in three new color variations. Following Vitra’s production of t he side tables in 2002 in all-white and all-black versions, the new series takes inspiration from Noguchi’s original tri-color designs. Each of the three versions comes in an arrangement of three different shades of grey. Learn more about the history of the Prismatic Table, designed by Noguchi in 1957 for the Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America) Forecast promotional program.The side table comprises three elements made of folded sheet aluminum with a high-quality powder-coated finish. Joined together they form a three-legged table with a hexagonal top. Arranging several of these Prismatic Tables together reveals tessellated, kaleidoscope-like patterns. Show more
