Marks Beneath the Surface Due to the nature of genuine leather, marks may appear from activities in nature or from the skin healing and regenerating. These are natural characteristics of real leather. Texture and Color Differences Even within a single hide, the leather texture varies by area. This is an inherent characteristic of natural leather. Fine Surface Abrasions Because the hides are finished with minimal post-processing, some areas may show fine scratch marks. Leather Wrinkles Wrinkle marks that naturally occur on the cow’s skin may be visible on the leather surface. Dark Spots These dark spots can occur during the two-tone dyeing process of semi-aniline finishing. They are a result of the manufacturing process and are not considered defects. Natural Marks These are traces of pigmentation caused by various factors such as surface wounds, melanin cell or nevus cell proliferation. You may also see spots, pores, insect bites, or scar marks. Noir Cushion The underside of the Noir Cushion is finished with an anti-slip fabric. In addition, zipper colors vary depending on the fabric specification. (Only black leather uses a black zipper.) Product Tolerance Range Due to the nature of products finished with sponge and leather, actual measurements may differ slightly from the dimensions listed on the website depending on the measuring method.
