The Nokta PulseDive is a waterproof 2-in-1 device that transforms between a scuba detector and pinpointer in seconds, rated to 200 feet (60m) for serious underwater work. Divers hunting Caribbean wrecks and beach hunters working wet sand at low tide face a choice: carry separate tools or accept compromises. The PulseDive solves that by combining both configurations in one IP68-rated housing with pulse induction technology that ignores saltwater mineralization. Where VLF machines chatter constantly in saltwater, the PulseDive runs stable, and the patented dual-mode design saves space in your dive bag while delivering real capability in both roles. What's Included with the PulseDive Nokta PulseDive 2-in-1 Scuba Detector & Pinpointer with replaceable hard-shell pointer tip Detector coil (5.5 inches) and pinpointer coil Waterproof carrying case Belt holster and security lanyard USB charging cable and protective dust caps Why Divers and Beach Hunters Reach for the PulseDive Pulse induction ignores saltwater and mineralized soil that causes constant false signals in VLF detectors, so you hunt wet sand and dive sites without ground balance adjustments or threshold drift Dual-mode operation gives you an 5.5-inch detector coil for coverage and a pinpointer configuration for recovery without carrying two separate devices Four alert modes (audio, vibration, LED, or any combination) let you adapt to conditions, with vibration-only when you can't hear audio underwater and an LED indicator to spot the unit in murky water Lost alarm activates after 5 minutes of inactivity, beeping and flashing to help locate the unit when you drop it 50 feet down during a dive Built-in LED flashlight illuminates targets during night hunts or low-visibility underwater searches Pulse Induction Stability in Saltwater and Mineralized Ground Diving Caribbean wrecks and reef sites The PulseDive's pulse induction technology provides stable operation in saltwater. We've run this unit in 60 feet of saltwater around coral formations without the threshold drift that plagues beach detectors taken past the surf line. Dive mode locks the controls to prevent accidental activation from water pressure during deep dives. The vibration alert is useful when audio is difficult to hear through a regulator underwater, and the LED indicator helps you track the unit's position in low-visibility conditions. Wet sand and surf zone at low tide Beach hunters working the wet sand line deal with high conductivity from saltwater saturation. The PulseDive runs stable in that zone without the ground balance recalibration VLF units demand every few steps. We switch to detector mode with the 5.5-inch coil for coverage when scanning the slope, then convert to pinpointer mode to isolate targets in the scoop hole. To choose the right setup for your recovery style, explore our best pinpointers for metal detecting field recommendations. Black sand beaches and volcanic mineralization Black sand contains magnetite that creates severe ground noise in VLF detectors even with aggressive ground balance settings. Pulse induction technology ignores magnetic mineralization, so the PulseDive maintains a stable threshold on black sand beaches in Hawaii, Alaska, and the Pacific Northwest. The LED flashlight is useful for early-morning or late-evening hunts when light is low and you're working the tide line before the crowds arrive.
