DESCRIPTION The Rugged YSL11WHARNESS is an upgrade to our YSL11/1.2 by replacing the Solder Tag termination with a full Cable Harness and increasing the Stainless Steel grade from 304 to 316. It has a bi-colour Red and Green LED providing a status position on iButton® acceptance. The Reader is intended for outdoor or indoor applications having the contacts made from grade 316 Stainless Steel. Please note corrosion will happen when presented with salt water as there is no way round the Physics of Electrolysis. Not a perfect outdoor option but we are of the considered opinion it it the best offering available for harsh environment's. Ensuring the reader and Contacts are kept clean helps mitigate Corrosion. The Reader is mounted using a Plastic 20mm thread and nut. The Bi-colour LED terminates on Solder Tinned wire as are the 1-wire Ground and Data. There is no series resistor integrated and in calculation the Series Resistor value assume a volt drop of 1.7v and a LED Current of 15mA The device is intended to work with the non-Magnetic DS1990 iButton® Dallas key range YSL90Rxxx.
