The Norfolk keeps it simple and contemporary, with vertical grooved panels running the full height of the door in a warm oak face. A solid, unglazed design that suits modern and traditional homes. About the Norfolk Vertical grooved panels give the Norfolk its clean, linear look. It is a solid, unglazed door, so there is no glass to arrange, just clean oak lines. The oak-veneered face carries an even, warm grain that takes an oil or stain beautifully. Engineered oak construction The Norfolk is an oak veneer over a solid engineered core, dowel jointed for strength. The engineered core keeps the door stable through the seasons and resists the warping and twisting solid timber can suffer on an exposed elevation. It is supplied sanded but unfinished, ready to seal in your chosen finish, and can be trimmed to fit the opening. Finishing & Care Made for outdoor use but best fitted in a sheltered spot, under a porch or canopy, rather than fully exposed to driving rain or strong sun. As it is supplied unfinished, protect every face and edge with a treatment made for external doors before it is hung; we recommend the Impranol range for external doors. Oak Weather Bar We also supply an Oak Weather Bar to match, which will be needed if the door is open to the elements. It is sold separately, as not every doorway needs one, for example a door set within an enclosed porch. View our Oak Weather Bars. Our external doors must be treated before being hung, retreated every six months and kept dry at all times through the use of a canopy or similar.
