Lithograph, printed colour, published by W. G. Blackie circa 1893 Image size: approx. 270mm x 360mm Very good condition throughout. Shows- as the title suggests - the ArctIc Region s, though not the Pole itself. The farthest of Arctic Expeditions 1875-6 is marked. This was led by Sir George Strong Nares. Though the expedition failed to reach the North Pole the coasts of Greenland and Ellesmere Island were throughly explored and much scientific data collected. Show more
