The lightweight carbon construction makes pumping more efficient and gives the board a lively, dynamic feel. The flatter profile and balanced volume distribution makes it easier to paddle into waves, while the pulled-in tail and slender teardrop outline gives you more control and allows you to lean into tighter turns without catching the rail. Prone Tech Features: 100% Carbon Slender modern teardrop shape for tighter carves Balanced volume distribution Improved grip when duck-diving Quick, easy take-offs. Square chopped tail Board Materials Carbon Technology Features Fast and intuitive dedicated prone board Light and efficient for extended pumping with smaller foils Slender teardrop shape for tighter carves Grab-able rails and balanced volume distribution Strong full carbon shell with structural reinforcement Comfortable max-traction deck pad - no strap inserts 100% Carbon. The lighter the board, the lower the swing weight and the greater the distance you can cover when pumping. This efficiency also allows you to use smaller foils for higher performance. Slender modern teardrop shape for tighter carves. The reduced tail area enables minimal rail connection through turns and creates a perfect wave fit so that you can lean in and heel over further without the board touching the water and slowing down. The rounded nose and pulled-in tail provide enough width for an offset turning stance. Balanced volume distribution. They've positioned the volume under your chest to assist paddling into the waves or through the line-up. They’ve balanced this with volume in the tail where the foil attaches to improve touchdown. Also for wake foiling and tow-in foiling (big waves) Improved grip when duck-diving. This gives you more grip, making it easier to hold on and balance, giving you added stability and control of your board and foil. Quick, easy take-offs with a square chopped tail. Are you looking for a more jack of all trades foilboard? The North Midi Foilboard might be your match. 2024 North Sonar AF Edition AF72/AF85 Start building your modular quiver here. Ideal for riders wanting more from surf and downwind swells (with or without a wing). The foils insensitivity to angle of attack change forgiveness means you don’t have to be an expert or have perfect pumping technique. A refined balance of roll stability and maneuverability gives you confidence during pumping and take-offs, and the ability to initiate powerful rail-to-rail carves. Push it harder, lip stall and lay down banking turns, knowing tip ventilation is a thing of the past. Reduced distance between the mast and front wing makes for faster, tighter pivoting turns. They have kept the span similar between the three sizes, providing the same ride feel across the entire size range. The SF promises that frictionless sensation of glide at slower speeds. Responsive and agile. With intuitive recovery. Wakesurfing ten waves back, prone-surfing, wing-surfing, pumping or mastering the downwind. The Sonar SF Series. At one, with it all.
