Mike adapts the American realist Richard Haas’ sinister Subway painting from 1971 that depicted the New York underground and renames ‘Broadway’ to Tooting Broadway, where Mike was born as the backdrop. A photo of Joe running away from a ghostlike female in the foreground serves to add to the dreamlike image. Another classic narrative.
