Inspired by wartime cartridge bags of the late 1930’s, this piece combines traditional British leather-working with minimalist design principles resulting in a functional and distinctive piece that will last you a lifetime. The signature internal organisation feature that is mirrored in all Cherchbi pieces provides instant familiarity with your bag from it’s first use, and comes fully lined with premium Behrens 100% dyed cotton fabric in a warm grey hue. Cherchbi is handcrafted by highly skilled, traditional British leather workers and craftsmen in Melton Mowbray, England. Variations Royal Hussar - Harking back to the first military Khaki fabric that was created by Hainsworth in 1899, this modern update is complemented to perfection with antique brass hardware. Bandolier Black - For robust and everlasting excellence, the ‘Bandolier Black’ wool traditionally used within British cavalry suiting is paired with hard wearing nickel detail. Union Grey - The softest hue of our collection, this Hainsworth wool is a modernised variant of the original fabric used in the post-war QUARANC medical uniforms of the 1940’s and comes finished with fine nickel detailing. All British Hainsworth wool has been coated with a bonded waterproof membrane making each piece water resistant and highly durable.
