Artist Statement: The 'Garden Series' came about after a move from inner city Sydney to the Blue Mountains, to a house with an established, though overgrown cool climate garden. Th e hours spent clearing out, pruning and feeding the garden began to affect my work which took on, almost subconsciously, the colour and organic shapes of the blossoms from our first Spring in the house.
