Excess moisture around a stoma can contribute to skin irritation and can also prevent the adhesive baseplate from attaching securely. Brava® Powder absorbs moisture from the skin, helping create a drier surface for application of the stoma appliance while supporting protection of vulnerable peristomal skin. It is generally not necessary on normal, healthy and completely dry peristomal skin. Directions: Clean the skin around the stoma according to the usual stoma-care routine. Gently dry the surrounding skin as thoroughly as possible. Apply a small amount of Brava® Powder to the moist or affected area. Allow the powder to absorb the excess moisture. Gently remove or brush away any loose excess powder before applying the stoma appliance. The aim is to leave a thin layer only where required, rather than a heavy coating of powder. Apply the pouch or baseplate according to the appliance manufacturer's instructions. Repeat at subsequent appliance changes if the skin remains moist and continued use is appropriate.
