To do this, take the lid and remove it from the base. One side at a time, press the long side down on a table surface and press down on the bottom edge to push in the inner rim. Then take the bottom flap (the edge with no rim) and push down slightly with your hand. Upon reattaching the lid to the bottom, it should fit securely.
