Nova Easygro was developed at the AAFC Kentville Research and Development Station in Nova Scotia and introduced in 1971. A Spartan x PRI 565 apple, it bears large oblate fruit with a greenish yellow ground mostly covered by red stripes or blush. The thin skinned fruit has snow white, firm, crisp, slightly juicy flesh. Its mildly sweet flavour can be slightly tough at picking and mellows in storage. Nova Easygro is recommended for cooking, salads, fresh eating, and lower maintenance orchards.
