Tears For Fears returned in 1989 with a new album ‘The Seeds Of Love’ – and the lead single ‘Sowing The Seeds Of Love’ is featured along with ‘Love Train’, the Top 5 solo debut for Holly Johnson. The first side closes with ‘All Around The World’, #1 for one of ‘89’s biggest new chart stars, Lisa Stansfield… Flip the album over for a side of dance-floor-fillers: The biggest selling single of 1989 was ‘Ride On Time’ from Black Box, and this kicks off an amazing run including Kym Mazelle and Robert Howard with their duet ‘Wait’, the chart debut from Neneh Cherry, ‘Buffalo Stance’, and the #1 ‘Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)’ from Soul II Soul & Caron Wheeler… plus a huge U.S. chart-topper ‘Straight Up’ from Paula Abdul.
