Young coconuts (green coconut) are also known as Thai coconuts. The skin and some of the husk have been removed and the eyes are at the base. They're cut down from palm trees a nd uniformly shaped for shipping, though the sizes and amount of water inside may vary (from 3/4 cup to 2 1/2 cups, sometimes more).
