A square trivet in bio-washed twill cotton, quilted over a thick layer of batting so it sits plump rather than flat on the table. The 10-count twill is a heavier weave than most fa bric trivets use, and 1401HOME fills it generously, so it holds its loft instead of packing down with use.At 15 × 15cm it runs slightly smaller than a standard trivet, so a pot covers most of it and less quilted cotton shows — the table reads cleaner for it. The padding takes a pot straight off the heat, and it doubles as a coaster under a teapot; a loop on one corner hangs it by the range instead of leaving it in a drawer. Machine wash cold and air dry.
