New NXL500 R7 Module now available! The NXL500 is designed as a very high performance, high end audio amplifier in the Recording Studio's, Audiophile Amplifier's, Home Theatre and Sub-Woofer Amplifier's The NXL500 R6 has XLR Balanced inputs as standard and it can be configured for RCA single ended input. The performance of this amplifier is truly awesome and unlike a lot of amplifiers these days. The power ratings are continuously rated sine wave into a resistive load. The update includes a completely fresh PCB layout and some interesting design changes. The latest iteration allows for a constant 2 ohm rating of up to 800 watts, with three pairs of dual die laterals in the output stage, and an additional MOSFET driver stage, improved interstage filtering and decoupling capacitors. The new driver stage also improves the THD+N performance bringing it down to 0.0007% at 8 ohms 1 Watt. Also the NXL500 R7 Amplifier Module has been updated with Two Pole Compensation, which allows THD+N to drop to 0.001% THD from 20hz to 20khz when driving an 8 ohm load. After the comparison with my ridiculous TA2022-V4.0 on my Davis acoustics MV15 speakers, I compared my Holton amplifier on the hifi system of two friends. The first one have a Purifi amplifier Eval 1 & one Hypex SMPS1200A400 on Davis acoustics Kristel speakers. The second have a Purifi amplifiers Eval 2 & two Hypex SMPS1200A400 on Triangle Cello 40th speakers. Directly with the Holton NXL500-R6, there is more kick, high bass and low mid. After a long listening with the Holton, when we return on the Purifi, with this one the sound is little, is flat and Is plated to the speakers ! To research the same energy and dynamic we was having with the Holton, we pop-up the volume, but it's in vain. The Purifi Amplifier is flabby and electric ! On the Davis Kristel, you have the sensation the power is no limited ! It's realy amazing !
