Pyrus communis 'Nye Russet Bartlett' Nature's improvement on the classic Bartlett! Similar to the favored Bartlett, but the small-to-medium fruit has a little more complex and spicy flavor, a firmer texture and the same early ripening. It ripens a week after Bartlett. Blooms late, group 3. Resistant to scab. Considered an excellent dessert pear.
