Stonefly patterns come a dime a dozen, with endless variations including the classic Kaufmann's, vinyl ribbed Little Black Stone, and Rowan's most maligned, the Pat's Rubber. Our t ie focuses on nailing the three characteristics that science tells us matter to fish - proportion, silhouette, and contrast. By using vinyl rib for the lower segmentation and quickly transitioning to a bulky dubbed thorax with wingcases, then countershading, we've created a beast of a fly that helps us pull landlockeds and squaretails during even the worst fishing conditions.
